VA6RDC station

Sep 26th

Garry and Brian Spent about 5 hours finishing up several items at the County.
- Coax at the top of the tower re-rigged to allow south center operation of the beams
- South Center bezel installed on the rotator control
-Coax fittings installed on the heliax indoors
-Coaxes labelled
-80 meter Dipole with feedline installed
-General tidying of site
- oh yeah we managed a couple of 20m contacts as well

It is with sadness that I announce the passing of Mary Krogman.
The funeral will be at Crossroads Church Friday September 9 at 11:00 AM

- VE6DE : I find it strange that the picnic is not on the CAARC Calendar!... Thanks bob for putting the info at the top of the page. I had a call yesterday from another ham asking if the picnic was going this year, as there was nothing on your main webpage about it!
- VA6LDY : Anyone can drop by the bike tour base station and offer assistance. Please note the times and location on BLD's activity post.
- VA6LDY : Rick, I think that is an excellent point. I haven't been given that information from our Red Deer contact so maybe bring our old shirts just in case they are needed.
- VE6RAK : At the meeting for the Airdre/Olds MS bike, it was stated not to wear any old teashirts with Rona on them. Johnson is the new sponsor.

- VA6TAC : @VE6KEZ: I beleive we decided the membership year runs November each year to the following November. You can still pay your dues but it will go only up to November. It's too complicated to have everyone on their own schedule, like a big organization (say RAC) can do.
