copper ring

This copper ring is the main or only part to the splitter and combiner circuit..This one is going to be the splitter which takes the single driver RF signal from the 1296 transmitter and splits or divides the signal equaly to feed the two cavity amps..

Testing LEDs

A bit of a blurry pix showing both cavities putting out some RF power right around 100 watts each..The drive was kept low to test the input splitter so that the individual outputs of the amp wouldnt overdrive and smoke the two RF dummy loads..The input sp

220VAC monitoring

This pix shows my clamp on AC current meter probe to watch the 220VAC primary circuit to see what it was doing during the test...Quite the power hog, with both amps idling the primary total current draw was 8.3 amps, when the amps were being driven lightl

So here the twins sit, all fired up with high voltage of about 1800 VDC each and filaments warmed up ready to go..The two wattmeters are monitoring the individual amp outputs, the next step is building the output combiner so that the output RF is all in o
